DBAA has cool sprites, and yours fit well into the style.
I say keep only the legs moving as much as possible, if only because it looks like someone taped a cutout of Lee in front of somebody's torso. xD
No seriously, I can't wait to see more, whenever you get to it.

that idle of rock lee sucks big time. his left foot is basically a flat line glued to the ground. he has no toes!

it doesnt need to be "realistic". remember you're working on a more cartoonish vibe than anything.

yes, but looking at the animations, they have this knack of using shading to depict movement along the z axis.
