The original is better. You seem to be missing the point of the new sprite style. It's not meant to be a direct emulation of the Brawl style anymore, it's meant to be more cartoony and colorful.

Still doesn't mean we can't fix it a bit. Our current DK doesn't look too good.

Starpower's face was really nice. But the arms still seem strange.

I restored the colors from the original as you can see. They were starting to get dark. I also did some touch ups too. Still needs work.

And I don't think the fur should be dithered...and I apologize for not messing with it at all when I was working on the head. The head was the biggest problem to me.
I believe you should make sone fur outlines like Raid is talking about.

You should also be sure to make the fur outlines by his hands and feet, like shown here. Also, Koopaul, I believe you should make the fur like you did with the M&L Donkey Kong you made a while back..if that was you. I forgot who it was but I like how they did the fur.
