Hi everyone, (I hope I'm not in the wrong section). Thanks to you, I was able to get the PS1 models of Cloud, Barret, and Vincent so I can make a video where I insert the three of them in place of three of my friends and make a comic video based on a conversation I recorded some time ago. I want to use Blender, but I'm just starting out and I'm running into a problem. When I import the Cloud model into Blender, the model appears white and without the textures that are inside the folder. Could someone with more knowledge than me point me to the solution? Thanks so much.

There is a chance you are viewing your project in "Solid" viewport shading. Press Z, it should show you 4 options: Wireframe, Solid, Material Preview and Rendered. Choose on of those last options.
I'm betting that is it, so if you still don't see any improvements let us know, and make sure you attach your model and texture files, so we can make sure if there is something else needed to be done.

Your suggestion helped me see the model with the textures, but unfortunately I have another small problem. From the image, you can see that parts of the face and left shoulder are missing. I tried to correct this using the "missing data" option, but it didn't work. What could be the cause?

I don't notice anything missing. If by the left shoulder, you mean the gray part, that's Cloud's pauldron. It's meant to look like that. The eyes and mouth have black boxes around them because the textures' alpha channels aren't being applied, so the parts of the textures that are supposed to be transparent, aren't. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar enough with Blender to tell you how to fix the transparency. But nothing is wrong with the geometry. |
