I felt like trying the Symphony of the Knight sprite style by spriting Specter Knight... thing is, I'm not quite sure of how it turned out, because it felt like it became way too smooth looking. Anyone who could help me figuring out what to do with this?

Thought I'd practice more SOTN by spriting the SOTN design given for Richter:

Based on the official (sort of) unused SOTN Richter sprite

Specter IS too smooth looking, but I'm not good enough at that style to help much. Maybe because his proportions are so vastly different?

Richter looks awesome though.

Tried to slim him down and make it not so smooth. How does it look now?

Slimmed him down further, made the shape of the sprite feel sharper and not so bulky and round, and on top of that, I reduced the color count some, given I found out SOTN sprites are not meant to have too many colors.

Also, animated Richter (wish his sprites were this smooth in SOTN).

Not really done in the style of any Castlevania game, but yes, both of them are from Castlevania. I'm happy with how Richter turned out, but I'm not sure about Simon's hair, considering I couldn't find a lot of reference for it for a back angle.

I'm still busy as usual, so in the meantime, here are some filler sprites (in the CPS2 style):
