3d Ripper DX question

How come my .obj files are empty?
What do I press first F11 or F12?
What should I have toggled on and what should be off?
Once I open .obj file with my 3ds max, what am I suppose to be doing next?
How do I use these .dds files in my 3ds max?

You don't need to press F11 and F12. One or the other is all that you need. .dds is the textures of the models.
