Fanfics? It's pretty obvious that he's got a boner for Dexter.
Brian acted basically the same way toward him and the fact that not only does he have the hand but also brought up the BHB to Dexter himself shows that there's gotta be something else there.

There's definitely something up with him.
He's making a game about serial killers and he's collecting serial killer evidence.
If the writers seriously let this go unnoticed then they have no idea what they're doing.
All that aside, the fact that he's trying to get so close to Dexter and including the BHB in his game makes it pretty obvious that there's more to him than just a simple game developer.[/spoiler]

I had serious doubts at first, but the episode ended up being a better than i thought it would.
[spoiler]deb having feelings for dexter almost felt like it made sense, which is more than i would have asked for before this. i hope that it isn't used legitimately, though; i hope its more a matter of deb misapplying feelings and feeling super-fucking-vulnerable.[/spoiler]


this doesn't mean that the overall quality of the show isn't decreasing, though.

I'm tired of dexter constantly screwing up and having absolutely ZERO repercussions for anything he does.

All those innocent people he killed (it's at least five, now...) will never come back to bite him in the ass.
That call he made to Miami metro from his own cell phone without masking his voice? Guess they conveniently weren't recording those.
