Why does this movie exist.

Did someone just wake up one day and say "Hey, let's make an unnecessary live-action movie off of an old cartoon and ruin some childhoods"

Why couldn't it have been Danny Phantom.

Then nothing of quality would be lost.

Well IIRC this is meant to be set in the future? Timmy is 20-something and is trying to keep acting like a kid to the faries stick around.

It makes sense in an amusing way. The original show was pretty mediocre; so who cares, really.
