Remember that in this round character design could help you. The mysterious hat+scarf combo won't do.

But I still get to keep the base frame, right

New body, let's see if this works..

I suggest you model your sprite and its design after the cowhunk Francisco posted.

Bah. Might be a more than a few flaws, but eh..

EDIT: Lightly edited it a little.

making some progress (IN SPACE)

You could always use a metal shading refrence from one of the many sheets from TSR. Trust me, it's helpful.

Ok

This is my proto-final entry. In the event where I'm not able to get online or work on this again (which is a possibility; I move back to York tomorrow); please take this as my finished.

I'm going to bed.

Edit:

Tweaked.

[23:10:02] RONERY: let me see
[23:10:18] grooveman.exe: I quite like the colours this time around though - somnething desaturated
[23:100] RONERY: more contrast tho
[23:10:53] RONERY: a lil' more on the skin and a lot more on the helmet
[23:11:00] RONERY: metals tend to have high contrast
[23:11:12] grooveman.exe: sure
[23:11:17] RONERY: or make it darker, or the highlights lighter
[23:11:25] grooveman.exe: post in thread so I can read it tomorrow
[23:110] RONERY: make the highlights white
[23:135] RONERY: I also don't think you need that dark pixels on the corners, they look ugly
[23:14:00] RONERY: (you're AAing with a color that isn't the midtone)
[23:14:56] RONERY: and by the wat the shading is placed, his eye should be a little darker

We here in the beginner tier don't like right eyes

my current WIP

MY BODY IS READY
(but my shoulders aren't shaded)

Finished. This round ends in like 2 days right? Isn't there going to be a finished entries topic again?

I have WIPs

i'm annoyed i spent so much time on the bottom ones because now i'm starting to prefer the other one
