Sadly I cannot get the portraits and effects (The effects are from other games though) due to the insane BS of ripping from XYZ files (Not risking messing up my computer), the character was extracted manually using the RPG Maker client the game came with, Easy RPG has issues with palettes compared to RPGM2k3, I did however include all instances of AILA in the story as bosses, including the Interference boss fight in the Dam Facility.
Also I cannot rip the shield effect due to how wonky it is (Translucency effects in RPGM games do not translate well when it comes to ripping)
Not actually a newcomer because i was here since 2020 as another alias (Nicomario70). I'm here to showcase my lastest rips of games i played in the past.
I'm currently interested to rip some stuff, other than showcasing custom stuff. I thought of someday starting to rip old MFGG Mario fangames.

Starting with Mario's Mansion Perfect Collection due it has the most charming sprites i ever seen on a old fangame. And planeed to rip others as well (SUPER MARIO STORM I for example).
I actually summit them, for now there are not approved (i think it was because i posted it when i still had my old nickname on this site, i will waiting patiently, there is no hurry).

Anyways, they there are some sheets (Accurate Size):

If i had time, i could edit them to put more info.
Such as Peach sprites being unused in Mario's Mansion Perfect Collection, or some of this Blue-Red Shy Ghost's (Referred as "FanGuy" in game) sprites being unused, those being a improved version of him, the one where is actually an actual custom sprite of him and not a recolor of him taken from Yoshi's Island.

I still doubt if i get aproved, that's it for now.

My plans are to try to rip all the Rookie training spritesheets in my free time (including Veemon - I have a savefile with all the Rookies unlocked).

Hello everyone, it's TFO04 here. If anyone remembers in a seperate thread I made back in 2023, I did a re-rip of Cream from Sonic Advance 2 since the original sheet was outdated and missing several sprites (i also re-ripped Cheese and Vanilla for the sake of it!)

This time, I decided to make my own thread for various sprite rips I've made, since I've seen others doing it and I don't want to make multiple threads on each game I've ripped stuff from. I've been away from TVGR for a while, as I've been rather busy with other important matters. If anyone's wondering if I've started on my re-rip of Amy as stated in the thread, the answer is yes. Well, from Advance 1 that is, since I want to see if any of her sprites differ in the second and third games when I begin ripping her sprites from those. I haven't made much progress since I stopped doing it but, here's some of the sprites and animations I have currently organised and named for the upcoming sheet:

 amy rerip progress1.png (Size: 27.8 KB / Downloads: 207)
Like Cream's sheet, this uses the BizHawk colour scheme. All sprites seen were ripped through either mGBA or YY-CHR. There are plenty of other sprites I've ripped for Amy, but I didn't feel like showing all of them and I haven't got around to fully organising them yet. But I will be sure to keep posting progress of the sheet as time goes on.

Anyway, with that out of the way... around last year or so I re-ripped the sprites for the badniks from the 8-bit versions of Sonic 1 that I plan on replacing the current sheets with, because when I was re-ripping the sprites, I noticed some differences with the ones for Crabmeat and Moto Bug that I don't think anyone has pointed out.
Left: Master System. Right: Game Gear

 badnik rip mastersystem.png (Size: 9.34 KB / Downloads: 210)

 badnik rip gamegear.png (Size: 9.52 KB / Downloads: 191)
Crabmeat has a slightly different set of sprites in Jungle Zone when compared to Green Hill Zone. In the Game Gear version, these sprites are, oddly enough, swapped around, and the Moto Bug sprites are touched-up a bit. Below is a comparison in case you are confused:

 badnik comparison.png (Size: 3.53 KB / Downloads: 183)
Not to mention that the sheet on the Game Gear version's page is the same as the Master System's, which is why I am planning on updating both sheets. The badnik sprites here were ripped through BizHawk.

Also, as a heads up: The sheets featured here may not be final, which is why I decided to make this thread in the event I'm told or find out that I've missed something on them. That way I can go ahead, add/change any of the missing/incorrect sprites and finalise the sheet before I submit them to TSR. I tend to rush my sheets sometimes so I wanna avoid any decrepancies just in case.

That's pretty much about all i've got. Feel free to let me know if there is anything I have missed, but other than that, all I can say is happy new year, and I'll see you all around!

Here I'm going to share my thoughts and WIPs as someone who's new to sprite ripping. Right now I'm interested in ripping from arcade games only but that might change.

Currently working on: Tetris: The Absolute – The Grand Master 2

Future plans: Saboten Bombers, Hippodrome, Puzzle Uo Poko

So, TGM2. The reason why I've decided on this game is simple: I love the animated backgrounds of it and couldn't find them in good quality. I obviously didn't expect this to be easy, but little did I know what awaits...
To put in short: I cannot understand why background animation frames are stored like THAT.

Each animation consists of 32 frames, which are stored in groups of 4 sprites, scrambled like this: frame 1 row 1, frame 2 row 1, frame 3 row 1, frame 4 row 1, frame 1 row 2 and so on. One can imagine how tedious was the process of separating and rearranging rows in the correct order. Yeah, and also backgrounds are stored not in an order they appear in game. Good thing they all use the same pallette which changes dynamically. Which is also a bad thing since you need to actually reach level 900+ to get a correct pallette. At least my previous experience in TGM1 and the magic of save states helped with that a plenty.
