I'm with PK though - you keep jumping between past and present tense.
Either the events in the story HAVE ALREADY HAPPENED,
or the events in the story ARE CURRENTLY HAPPENING
This is the strangest sentence I've ever read in a fanfiction. Did Vanilla just fight off the boogeyman using cheese out of a spray can?
