Well I can vouch for the difficult to rip bit. I have used a ripper called 3d dx ripper in combination with noesis to convert the ripped models into a useable format like SMD.
Now unfortunately, the models wind up coming out as flat as paper so you will have to "Re-inflate" the model.
For the texturesI use the same program, but a different key so that I can get the textures that the model rip misses.
