So what do we think? Most of us will think, "It's a recolour" - something pretty much any of us can do in a few seconds - especially when the new palette is already given.

In general, taking colours from 3d renders and using them for sprites without changing them (I assume that's what you did) is not the best choice. If you compare the original Meta Knight to your recolour, you'll notice that yours has really little contrast on the metal mask and wing cape. As in, the darker shades should be darker and the brighter ones brighter.
