Agreed, that's a bit nicer.
On the first sheet, I spotted this;

You mentioned the sweat, and now that I look that does add up, and the sprites may actually be like this, in which case I'm more pointing out the flaw in the original sprites
The shadow on pose 2 makes no sense, and the sword on pose one has a pixel missing for no reason on the sword... In pose 2 there's also a pink pixel in the middle of his body.
Just wanted to point these out, great job so far though!
