no seriously man - the only reason why singstar does well is because it's an obviously casual title. the wii is made of these kinds of games.
but, i'm sure you're aware you CAN get girls into playing videogames by playing LittleBigPlanet and Soul Calibur 4...games that cater to hardcore players but some aspects apply to the casual

[spoiler]funny story: my niece, same age as me was all "oh yeah i like soul calibur 2, we should play" and I was like "ok", laughing to myself expecting her to be a horrible casualite. like yeah, i'll just beat her to death with talim
no, i was the one frantically mashing buttons while she comboed the fuck out of me with talim. however i did beat her with heihachi but i don't think that's saying a whole lot.
i'm glad to finally have gamerblood in my family ;___;

One game I can absolutely recommend because chicks love this game is SingStar. I mean, I'm still girlfriendless, but I've heard SingStar does well with the female species.
