I want to know who the hell came up with Fahrenheit because that shit doesn't make sense to me

0 degrees Celsius: water begins to freeze
100 degrees Celsius: water begins to boil

compared to -32 degrees Fahrenheit and 212 degrees Fahrenheit or whatever
