Well, if you were on photoshop, you could grab the select tool, an highlight a square around the specific sprite, then go to Image<Crop, then save it.
If you were on paint, you could highlight the sprite, and because xp paint doesn't have "crop", you could copy it onto another paint file, and save it.
If you had vistta paint, You would do what you could on photoshop. It takes awhile, but it's worth it.
