Tales of Phantasia (SNES) - Weird Sprite Behaviour? - Barack Obama - 08-10-2025 Emulator is bsnes-rawpalettes. The chameleon sprite below is bopping up & down, but also stretches vertically while doing that. It does that even in Tile / Sprite Viewer: ![]() Summon Spirits - Luna & Origin: https://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/talephantasia/ These two have the exact same effect, but I have no idea how Smithy ripped their original unstretched sprites. Here is a bsnes quicksave from the scene above: https://mega.nz/file/sNQVHShb#J06G__8FBdeJ7QfRtQ72znH1a_0ayGA17g77IHmxlcw Has anyone an idea what to do here? RE: Tales of Phantasia (SNES) - Weird Sprite Behaviour? - Deathbringer - 08-11-2025 Is the stretching also in the tiles in the VRAM? RE: Tales of Phantasia (SNES) - Weird Sprite Behaviour? - Barack Obama - 08-11-2025 Yes, the vertical stretching also appears in Tile and Sprite Viewer of bsnes-rawpalettes. If I enable Auto-update, I can see in realtime how the sprites resize in both viewers. Here is a HD video which shows pretty clear how it looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnghQJO617A 10:36 Ifrit 1:02:24 Maxwell 2:49:01 Luna |
