RE: the kid chameleon ripping project - Ton - 10-12-2012 Should be all updated now. RE: the kid chameleon ripping project - Jeff - 10-13-2012 Exellent But there are a few problems. The sheet labeled Bosses has been changed to be for Haagnus's sheet. Also, the theme based items should be for this sheet: http://www.freebits.nl/view.php?filename=279Them_Sprite.png but from my understanding it's not complete yet anyway. And I took heady metal out of my old bosses sheet. RE: the kid chameleon ripping project - Ton - 10-13-2012 Ah, I see what I did.
RE: the kid chameleon ripping project - Superjustinbros - 10-13-2012 As a big fan of Kid Chameleon, I am looking forward to seeing progress on this. RE: the kid chameleon ripping project - Haagnus - 10-16-2012 Here's a updated version for the theme based items, which also include the modified themes from "Stairway to Oblivion" and "Alien Twilight" Link, Full Size ![]() If you want these separated or might some other you also could take a look at Kid Chameleon Wiki - Images This are my rips for now
RE: the kid chameleon ripping project - Superjustinbros - 11-02-2012 (10-16-2012, 03:06 PM)Haagnus Wrote: Here's a updated version for the theme based items, which also include the modified themes from "Stairway to Oblivion" and "Alien Twilight" Very well done, IMO. However, it doesn't have the teal-green/blue "storm" palettes that are used in the mountain levels featuring hail. RE: the kid chameleon ripping project - Haagnus - 11-04-2012 The first strom theme appears in The Crystal Crage 1, Ice Theme. There they are exactly the same so i assumed that would be the same for Mountain theme, but apparently not ![]() Thanks Superjustinbros, Full Size, Link ![]() Also have made two new spites Score screen ![]() Staff end credits ![]() Lol Taz, He will appear if you wait at the third intro screen. Never have seen or knew that Lmao
RE: the kid chameleon ripping project - Jeff - 11-05-2012 I ripped Taz for my intro sprites sheet, but it's cool to have a direct rip this time. RE: the kid chameleon ripping project - Ton - 11-05-2012 All updated/uploaded! RE: the kid chameleon ripping project - gospyro - 03-05-2013 What a kick seeing this stuff again! I was one of the artists on Kidd Chameleon. It was the first video game I ever worked on. Unfortunately, I was not able to keep a copy of the art, given the nature of the format it was created in, and the lack of a computer at home (back in those early days!!) Long gone are the days were EVERY pixel was hand placed... yet I somehow miss those days!! Now that I have stumbled across your site... I'll have to see if you have any of the art from 'Distruptor' (Insomniac's first game). Just a few days after we shipped, my computer crashed, and crashed hard, taking the back-up with it, so I lost all the art I had done for the game!!! Thanks again for letting me glimpse into the past!! RE: the kid chameleon ripping project - Ton - 03-05-2013 Wow, seriously? That's awesome! I'd love to hear some cool stories about those days! Glad you like the site! RE: the kid chameleon ripping project - Garamonde - 03-05-2013 holy fudge, my mind is blown. is this the first time an artist of a game's sprites has come here and seen the work of the rippers? RE: the kid chameleon ripping project - Ton - 03-05-2013 As far as I know, yeah. RE: the kid chameleon ripping project - Dazz - 03-06-2013 I don't believe so; take into account that a lot of newer games are made by people that I'm friends with and such. We've also been in contact with a few indie developers, such as the guy from Offspring Fling, Snapshot and other indie titles. But I think it's probably one of the first times somebody has signed up to talk about an older-generation game! Pretty chuffed that we can make your day!
