your guide is heavilly out dated. A new tool called fmodel now supports unreal engine 5 which umodel doesnt. Your guide lacks any information of .mapping files which is required for new unreal engines which is similar to aes keys which Im fairly sure you kinda glossed over. An there was a aes key ripper by GH fear which extracts aes keys from a .shipping.exe file.
So your guide will need heavilly updated.

Hey just wanted to clear up some things missing in your guide . First with aes encryption keys that ue4 and ue5 uses you can use a tool by ghfear to decompile aes keys: https://www.mediafire.com/file/vj7beqtfsdma6n8/AESDumpster-Win64.exe/file
you drag an drop the game shipping.exe on that file and itll find the aes key you need to unencrypt ue4 and ue5 games.
With ue5 games you will need .mapping files along fmodel to decompile ue5 games. To dump the ue5.1-5.6 .mapping file you need the dumper -7 .dll files and a file injector. Otherwise ue5 models will not be possible to rip.
I just wanted to give you a heads up since ue4 model ripping is rather outdated with umodel. So fmodel has been the more preffered way to rip ue4-5 models.

UPDATE: So for days and hours on trying to figure out the error with no help and barely any info or tutorial. I finally found whats wrong it's not supported so which means that any unreal engine you want to export models from is not supported even tho there's another game made by the same people. It will not work so I wasted my time trying figure it out and wait for someone to help me with it. So if there's anyone willing to prove me wrong please contact me on this comment/private message or on the VG Discord. Thank you and have a wonderful day/night.
To the of this I'm sorry for the negativity on your tutorial I'm just frustrated that I couldn't get it to work and politely asking for help on the situation. This is still amazing I will probably try other games for awhile and maybe go back to the error and see if I can fix it. But I say keep up the great work and keep moving forward have a wonderful day/night.
What game are you trying to rip from? I do a far bit of ue4 and ue5 model ripping now. I'd be happy to help out since, model ripping with ue5 is fairly straight forward. For proof here's a image of Kane Fletcher from fortnite which uses ue5.6 I ripped the other day .
