Not that I would know anything about these things, but I would make the wick out of smaller parts and then just remove the parts that 'brun away'.

i thought of that, since that would be really easy.
but like i said, it's just all speculation. there might be special rules for that.

this was originally supposed to be something somewhat serious in the end except i drew the faces completely not seriously and i kinda didnt care about the background so i drew w/e

but as far as realism goes, the fuse gets burnt, but never dissolves
